Harmony Bible Church runs three campuses in Fort Madison, Burlington and Danville. Fort Madison is the ground-up build, a new room where we designed and installed the audio, video, lighting and acoustics. At Burlington and Danville we handled audio, video, lighting and scenic upgrades rather than full system replacements.
On the new build we were involved early enough to do it properly. Acoustic treatment was designed and installed as part of the room rather than added afterward, and infrastructure was planned before pathways were routed. That is the part churches cannot get back once construction is finished.

Acoustic treatment is the most frequently excluded line item in church AVL proposals. The usual pattern is that an integrator specifies it, prices it, then leaves installation to a general contractor, a separate vendor, or the church. It is the part that needs ladders, layout accuracy and someone willing to own the result if the room still does not measure right. We did all of it.
Most regional integrators subcontract this. Doing it ourselves is why the audio at Fort Madison behaves predictably, and why the video and lighting read the same way at all three campuses, which matters more than any single component choice when one person has to support all of them.
A new sanctuary is the only moment you can treat a room while the walls are still open. No amount of speaker budget recovers a room that was never treated.
Same programming approach, same labeling, same documentation at every campus. A volunteer trained at one location is not lost at another.
Every dollar spent on treatment during construction saves several later. That is the argument we make before drawings are final, and it is the reason the room behaves the way it does now.
